Nigeria XI vs Cameroon: Rohr Drops Balogun As Simon Returns

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has made five changes to the side that played against Madagascar ahead of the AFCON round of 16 clash against Cameroon.

Leon Balogun, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, John Ogu, Samuel Kalu and captain John Mikel Obi were the players to drop out of the starting lineup. Daniel Akpeyi, Kenneth Omeruo, Wilfried Nidi, Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi are the players that were brought in for them.

The Super Eagles will be hoping to bounce back against their perennial rivals after they suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to minnows Madagascar last time out.

Nigeria XI vs Cameroon: Akpeyi – Awaziem, Ekong, Omeruo, Aina – Ndidi, Etebo, Iwobi – Musa (C), Ighalo & Simon.
