Nigeria 2-1 South Africa: All The New Records Set On A Thrilling Night

Nigeria qualified for the semifinals of the Africa Cup of Nations in style, defeating the Bafana Bafana by two goals to one.

Goals from forward Samuel Chukwueze and defender William Troost Ekong sandwiched a Bongani Zunga leveller and ensured that Nigeria continued are quest for a fourth Afcon title.

Nigeria became the second team (after Senegal) to reach #TotalAFCON2019 semifinal after defeating South Africa 2-1 at the Cairo International Stadium on Wednesday night.

At age 20, Samuel Chukwueze has become the youngest goal scorer at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt 2019.

The Spain-based winger was only starting his seventh match for the senior team and only his second game at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Banana Finally dropped

Bungani Zungu equalized momentarily for the Bafana Bafana in the 71st minute to become the first South African player ever to score against the Super Eagles at the continental championships.

With this win, the Super Eagles will now take on the winner between Algeria and Ivory Coast in a semi-final clash on Sunday.
