Neymar edges closer towards PSG exit after failing to report in Training

Brazil star Neymar failed to show up for the first day of PSG’s pre-season training.

The French champions have threatened to take “appropriate action”.

The 27 year-old, who missed the just concluded Copa America where his country Brazil won the title, had hinted of his unhappiness in France. It is believed that he is interested in returning to Barcelona where he departed two years ago for a world-record fee.

The forward, who scored 34 goals in 37 appearances to help PSG to the Ligue 1 title last season, was due back at the club’s training ground on Monday.

” Paris St-Germain notes that Neymar was not in attendance at the agreed time and place. This was without the club’s prior authorisation, ” a statement from the club reads.

“The club regrets this situation.”

The club regrets this situation and will therefore take appropriate action.”

The Brazilian striker is still undergoing treatment for an ankle injury which ruled him out of the Copa America.

Neymar has reportedly sent a “come-and-get-me” to Barcelona and his latest actions represent a strategy towards ensuring his move back to Spain happens.
