Several European clubs have submitted bids to sign Paul Onuachu off the books of the Danish giants but none has been accepted, according to a club official.
The Nigeria international is at the centre of a transfer tussle with Belgian side, Club Brugge, having the upper hand but his parent club will not allow him leave unless the price is right.
Club Brugge, thought to be leading the race for Paul’s signature, only recently submitted an offer of €5 million for the former FC Ebedei star which FC Midtjylland believe is below the true worth of the Nigerian star.
Anderlecht are also reportedly set to make a bid for the the tall, gangling striker for which Midtjylland are willing to play the waiting game.
The 24-year-old is currently on holiday after being a part of the Super Eagles squad that won bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
But his future continues to be a hot topic in the transfer circles.
The Danish giants have however publicly cleared the air that Paul is still a Midtjylland player and will remain so unless something interesting shows up.
“Paul is on holiday now, and when he returns to Denmark, we must have found the right club for him.
“It is, of course, something we are already doing, and there have been lots of inquiries and bids, but nothing has been satisfactory. So far, we have chosen to say no,” Claus Steinlein, Chief Executive Officer, FC Midtjylland told tipsbladet.dk.
Since joining the club in 2012, Onuachu has made 134 league appearances for Midtjylland and scored 51 goals.
