How to join Juventus Football academy in Nigeria

It is 2019 and one thing is clear, football is evolving. We see Billions flowing in and out on daily basis and one of the major reasons for this is the current inflation in the prices for acquisition of a World Class player. Clubs spend more than $50,000,000 to secure even average talents nowadays and for some, it’s baffling. The current record transfer is at 220 million euros when it was some 120 million less a decade ago and then it was for a Ballon d’Or winner. Due to this inflation which is obviously getting out of hand, top European clubs are finding a new way to get these talented players for a much lesser fee and one of the best ways is to ‘Catch them young’.

It is no doubt that Italian giants Juventus FC is one of the greatest football clubs in the history of the Sport. The Turin-based club are the record winners for all the major titles in Italy and have also gotten their hands on two European Cups. The Old Lady have won all of the last seven Italian league titles and are looking for ways to continue this feat for generations to come and also bring back the European Cup title to Turin.

In a bid to get rare young talents and also provide opportunities for them, Juventus have situated football academies all over the world of which access is easy and relatively cheap. With their major youth system and camp based in Turin, Juventus have schools and camps in some countries of the World and luckily, Nigeria is part of them.

The Juventus youth system is aimed at providing participants who yearn to become professional footballers in the future with guides on the concept of football coupled with the methodology, ideas, philosophy and ethics of the club whilst also providing a means of formal education. It is focused on building the minds and abilities of Children, training them to understand the basics and fundamentals of becoming a star on the football pitch in the future.

Firstly, the Juventus Academy Program in Nigeria is not full-time as it’s more like a Camping experience for a specific time, precisely the holiday period. The camp is open to interested participants between the ages 6-17 with training sessions held between 9am to 3pm on weekdays. The Juventus Camp Nigeria is located in two areas in the country, Lagos and Abuja with Abuja being it’s main location.

Groups are formed initially by age although players might be moved solely at the discretion of the Juventus Coaches

Juventus Camp Nigeria will bring the highest quality of training standards in accordance with the Juventus Way. The Camps will be conducted by official coaches from the Juventus Academy in Italy who will come specifically to Ngeria to transmit their experience to Nigerian players.

Participants in the Juventus Camp who distinguish themseleves through fair play, behavior, passion as well as footballing ability will get the opportunity to be selected to join Juventus Academy Nigeria for each city where the camps will be held.
There will also a selection of a Juventus Nigeria Team (Per age group) which will be a travelling team participating in national and international tournaments.

All the Selected Players will be invited to participate in a Juventus Elite Camp in Nigeria where participation is ONLY by Invitation. Selected players will get the opportunity to be invited to live a fantastic Juventus Training Experience at the Juventus Academy in Turin, Italy.” – JUVENTUS FC

For registration for the Camping, participants must meet the age requirement of 6-17 years and must be a citizen of Nigeria. According to Juventus official website, the price for enrollment is 100,000 naira and it is not officially opened for 2019. Enrollment is online and participants will require a valid and active email address for registration and subsequent information. After successful registration, camping begins for a specified time and the best participants are included in the official Juventus Academy, giving them a probable opportunity to witness the facilities in Turin. The Juventus Academy Program has a J-Academy World Cup for various academies in the World.
