Chukwueze scores for Villarreal, fires South Africa warning

Newly invited Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has fired a strong warning to Bafana Bafana of South Africa ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier as he scored his maiden goal in Villarreal’s 2-2 draw against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend.

Having become the fourth youngest goalscorer in La Liga, the former Under 17 star would be hoping to replicate his goalscoring form against South Africa in Johannesburg.

He scored Villarreal’s opening goal in the 33rd minutes before De Tomas of Rayo Vallecano levelled the score in the 45th minutes. However, Garcia extended the host lead in the 66th minutes before Sansone scored in the 80th minutes to snatched a point for the away team.

Chukwueze, who has been compared to Bayern’s Arjen Robben, is expected to hit the Super Eagles camp today in Asaba.
