CAF Confederation Cup: Enyimba target three points against Williamsville

By Augustine Akhilomen

Enyimba FC will be aiming for the three points as they host Williamsville Atletic in Group C third-round game of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

Having lost their last group game 3-0 to CARA Brazzaville in May, to sit third on the log with three points, the Peoples Elephant knows a victory at home could boost their chances of qualifying to the knockout stages.

However, they face a litmus test against an unbeaten Ivory Coast Club side that are top on the log with four points and must ensure they avoid dropping a point.

Enyimba are Nigeria’s most successful club side on the continent after a consecutive triumph in the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004 and aim to be the first NPFL side since Dolphins FC in 2005 to get to the final.
