Kayode nominated for Shakhtar player of the month

Super Eagles striker Kayode Olanrewaju has been nominated for the Shakhtar Donetsk player of the month award for April.

Kayode was also voted man of the match after netting the only goal in Shakhtar Donetsk’s 1-0 league win against Mariupol last week Friday

The former Austria Wien of Austria player was also voted man of the match after netting the only goal in Shakhtar Donetsk’s 1-0 league win against Mariupol last week Friday and has been nominated alongside three of his teammates; Goncalves dos Santos, Taison Barcelos and Marlos Romero for the honour.

The striker who is on loan at Shakhtar from English Premier League club Manchester City has scored two goals in four outings for the club.

He will hope to win his first silverware with the club when they take on title rivals Dynamo Kiev in the final of the Ukraine Cup on May 9 at the Dnipro Arena.
