Ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly games against Poland and Serbia later this month, Ex international Henry Nwosu has commended Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr for inviting players based on form and experience.
Rohr a fortnight ago released a 28-man list that includes players such as Mikel Obi, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and a few to mention for March 23 and 27 international friendly games, in preparation for the World Cup slated for Russia.
Nwosu, who was a member of the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad in Lagos, told Soccernet.com.ng that Rohr has done well with the selection of players for the games.
“I am particularly impressed with those players he has invited for the two international friendly games against Poland and Serbia,” Nwosu told Soccernet.com.ng.
“It shows that Rohr went for form and experience; a good hallmark of a coach. I won’t be surprised to see some those fresh players try to displace the regular players in the Super Eagles,” he said.
