Messi celebrates son’s birthday

Aside from the goals and victory recorded by Barcelona over the weekend, there was more to celebrate about for Lionel Messi.

The Argentine superstar celebrated his youngest son Mateo’s birthday with his wife Antonella Roccuzzo and his other son Thiago over the weekend.

Messi posted a picture of the four of them on his official Instagram account.

It was all smiles from Messi and his family as they stood by a canvas on a sketch easel that wished Mateo a happy second birthday.

It was a perfect way to cool off for the 30-year-old following his match-winning performance at the weekend.

Messi shone for Barcelona netting a hat-trick as the Catalan giants capitalised on Real Madrid’s slip-up against Levante with a 5-0 thumping of local rivals Espanyol on Saturday
