Barcelona seems to have hijacked the deal of signing Manchester United target, Nelson Samedo from Benfica.
Manchester United has been in negotiation with Benfica for over six months regarding a move for the defender but recent reports say the Camp Nou giant has ended Red Devils chance to sign the full-back from Benfica as talk with Barcelona has reached an advanced stage of the deal.
Samedo has a £69million release clause in his contract but Jose Mourinho’s side had been confident that they could negotiate.
Manchester United wants a negotiation around £37mfor the defender but the Portugal international is now close to moving to the Nou Camp with Barcelona willing to pay £43m, according to Record.
The Catalans have struggled to replace Dani Alves since the Brazilian joined Juventus last summer.Semedo’s move to Spain will come as a blow to Mourinho, who viewed the 23-year-old as perfect competition for Antonio Valencia.
United is expected to complete a £20m move for Burnley defender Michael Keane, who is keen on rejoining his boyhood club.
After cooling their interest in Antoine Griezmann, Mourinho’s expected to target one of Romelu Lukaku,Andrea Belotti or Alvaro Morata.
