Ex international, Augustine Eguaveon has
revealed that if the Super Eagles qualifies for the 2018 World Cup it
would help the marketing value of the team.
Eguavoen who took
the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) All-star team to the
just concluded 2017 Future Champions tournament where the team defeated
team made an appreciable impact at the tournament, insisted that Nigeria
will benefit from the marketing aspect if the team makes it to the
World Cup.
Having played at the greatest football showpiece in
the world, the former Super Eagles handlers insisted that three more
points will set Nigeria on course for a sixth world cup appearance.
Nigeria
are top of group B with six points having defeated the Chipolopolo of
Zambia 2-1 in Ndola before whipping the Desert Foxes of Algeria 3-1 in
Uyo. They next face current Africa champions, the Indomitable Lions of
Cameroon on August 28 in a crucial World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
