Barcelona Complete Incredible Comeback To Reach UCL Q/Final

Barcelona produced the most remarkable Champions League comeback to beat Paris St Germain 6-1 at the Camp Nou, with a goal from Sergi Roberto five minutes into stoppage time securing a place in the quarter-finals.

Trailing 4-0 from their trip to France in the opening leg of the last-16 clash, Luis Enrique’s men were looking to make history and also avoid their earliest exit from the competition in a decade.

Luis Suarez gave Barcelona an early lead in the 3rd minute before Laryvin Kurzawa‎ put through his own net towards the end of the first half to put the home side 2-0 up at halftime.

Argentine superstar Lionel Messi added a third goal five minutes after the interval but PSG striker Edinson Cavani got the all-important away goal in the 62nd minute to put Barcelona in a tight corner of needing three goals to go through.

Brazilian star Neymar however stepped up to the occasion with a quickfire brace towards the end ofthe game before substitute Sergi Roberto got the aggregate winner with what was virtually the last kick of the game.

The 6-5 aggregate win means Barcelona become the 1st ever team to overturn a 4-0 first leg deficit in the history of the UCL thus qualifying for their 15th quarter-final appearance.

Elsewhere in Germany, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick as Borussia Dortmund beat Benfica 4-0 to ease into the Champions League quarter-finals with a 4-1 aggregate victory.

The striker, who missed a penalty in the 1-0 first-leg defeat in Portugal, made amends by levelling the tie early on and then netted a third on the hour mark after Christian Pulisic’s smart effort.

Aubameyang completed his treble with five minutes remaining, taking his goal tally for the season to 30 in the process, with a close-range finish.
