Iwobi Set To Gun-down Hull City

By Augustine Akhilomen

Last weekend may have been a bad period for the Gunners after their 3-1 drubbing in the hands of Chelsea, however, Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi knows that the team must bounce back to winning ways as they welcome Hull City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Having earned 50 caps in the colours of the Gunners, the Nigerian international, who is still desperate for more appearances and goals would be using Hull City’s visit as another template to increase his goal scoring prowess.

With four goals on his name this on-going season, Iwobi’s mobility, pace and dribbling skills could just pose a great nightmare to a Hull City’s side that have conceded 47 goals. Although the Tigers defeated Liverpool 2-0 last weekend, however, they will be hoping counting on mother-luck to scale through Arsenal’s hurdle.

Arsenal have won seven of their last eight Premier League encounters with Hull since losing their first meeting against the Tigers in 2008 – a shock 2-1 victory for the Tigers at the Emirates Stadium.

Since then, City are winless in 13 games against the Gunners in all competitions; a run that includes defeat in the 2014 FA Cup final and in the same competition in both of the following seasons.

Alexis Sanchez has particularly enjoyed himself against the Tigers, playing a part in six goals in three league appearances, including two in the 4-1 thrashing the last time the teams met in September.
