Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has rewarded reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions Rangers with a plot of land each as well as cash gifts totaling N41.5 million.
This was disclosed during their victory reception at the Michael Okpara Square in Enugu, with the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, a big fan of Rangers and who started his military career in Nsukka, in attendance.
“We commend Rangers for reviving the famous Rangers spirit and making the club great again,”said Governor Ugwuanyi.
“We dedicate this trophy to the Almighty God.”
The team was hosted to a dinner at The Dome later on Tuesday before officially receiving their plots of land at the Rangers Estate, Enugu.
