The Football Club Owners Association of Nigeria (Club Owners) have congratulated the proprietor, management, players, supporters and Fans of FCIfeanyiubah on their emergence as the champions of the 2016 Federation cup.
FCIfeanyiubah defeated Nasarawa united 5-4 via a penalty shootout after a full time barren draw played in an explosive encounter at the Teslim Balogun stadium Surulere Lagos.
A statement by the club Owners jointly signed by the chairman Barr. Isaac Danladi and the Executive secretary Alloy Chukwuemeka praised the performances of the two finalists and thumbed up the Anambra warriors for emerging victorious.
The Association charged the club to ensure that it commence immediate preparation as they represent the country in the CAF confederation cup early next year.
The Club Owners also extended it’s goodwill message to the Rivers Angels FC of Portharcourt for clinching the champions trophy for the female Federation Cup.
The Association praised the efforts of the Rivers ladies who defeated their counterpart from Bayelsa Queen via a penalty shootout in the final played earlier on Sunday in Lagos.
