Playing Under Conte Better Than Mourinho – Moses

By Augustine Akhilomen

Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester United, Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses has revealed that Jose Mourinho never showed him any sign of love during his reign as manager of the West London club.

Moses was farmed out to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham under Mourinho despite expressing his hunger and determination to succeed with the team after joining them from Wigan Athletic.

The Nigerian international, who has enjoyed a steady playing time under Italian tactician, Antonio Conte this season, scoring two goals in the Premier League, revealed that he feels better with Conte than Mourinho.

“He [Mourinho] never spoke to me,” Moses told ESPN.

“I think we chatted a couple of times on the phone – he asked if I was alright at Liverpool, but that was it.‎

“The manager who is here now is giving everyone a chance – even the young lads. I’m pleased that he’s here and I’ve just got to go out there and enjoy my football.

“As long as you work hard, the manager will see it and he’ll give you an opportunity. When the new manager came in, I just wanted to see how it went. It’s a blessing for me that he enjoys the way I play and appreciates the effort I put in. It gives you a lot of confidence when the manager believes in you.”‎
