Hector Bellerin linked to Barça |
It’s past the summer transfer window and far from reaching the next one, but FC Barcelona are still being linked with players and the most recent one is – as in the past – Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.
Barça player Aleix Vidal looks out of favour in Luis Enrique’s eyes and reports suggest the former Sevilla man is unhappy at the club and might be on his way out. He was bought to replace Dani Alves last summer but has seen his place taken by Sergi Roberto after the Brazilian left for Juventus and he is very likely to leave the club after not being called up by Luis Enrique for the club’s last two matches against Celtic and Leganes.
This issue brings back the speculation that Barça might want to go for Arsenal’s right back Hector Bellerin. The 21-year old spent 8 years in Barcelona’s youth system but moved to Arsenal in 2011 where he’s been made one of England’s best full backs and now Barça want him to make a return to replace the out-of-favour Aleix Vidal.
Aleix Vidal has failed to impress the coach since he arrived and performed woefully in his last game against Alaves. Barcelona source SPORT now report that Luis Enrique and club technical secretary Robert Fernandez might shell him out to get Bellerin, a player whom they’ve been monitoring for a while now.
SPORT suggest that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger will be crucial to the deal as he is the one man who Bellerin owes everything after trusting in him. The French manager could facilitate the player’s decision in the long run maybe for economical purposes as he’s done in the past.
Hector Bellerin was born and raised in Barcelona. He is known for his lightening pace on the right and his dribbling abilities, he’s featured for all age categories for the Spanish national team.
