18 payers in Barcelona UCL squad to face Celtic

Messi and Neymar in Barça squad to face Celtic

FC Barcelona take on Celtic in their first game of the 2016/2017 UEFA Champions League game at the Camp Nou in their Group C encounter and coach Luis Enrique has named his squad for the tie which consists of 18 players.
The announcement sees the return of Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto and Andre Gomes to the squad. The trio were all left out of the team that faced Alaves during the weekend but have been included for Barça’s 2016/2017 CL debut, however, it is still unclear if they’ll all start the game.
Defenders Jeremy Mathieu and Aleix Vidal who both started against Alaves have been excluded in the list, while goalkeeper Jordi Masip and Midfielder Denis Suarez also didn’t both make the squad.
The reason behind Masip’s exclusion is due to that arrival of goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen. The German picked up an injury on Friday but has been declared fit to feature after a speedy recovery and he’s been included in the squad to face Celtic although it’s still uncertain if he’ll start.
