Former Super Eagles stars Austine Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu has congratulated coach Samson Siasia on Nigeria’s U-23 team’s 5-4 victory over Japan in the Rio Olympic Games Men’s football on Friday morning.
Oghenekaro Etebo’s four goals and Sadiq Umar goal was all the team needed to announce their arrival in Brazil despite conceding four goals at the latter stages of the game.
Both Okocha and Kanu played an integral part in the colours of the senior national team, most especially at Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996, where the Dream Team won the gold medal after beating Brazil 4-3 in the seminal and Argentina 3-2 in the final.
Okocha tweeted on his twitter handle praising Siasia and his boys for making Nigeria proud in their opening match against Japan.

Also Kanu, who will be remembered for scoring that memorable goal that sank Brazil in the semi final also hailed the team in his twitter handle for getting the job done against Japan.
