Nasarawa United forward AbdulRahman Mobolakale Bashir has revealed to soccernet.com.ng from their NH Hotel in Valencia that the team is more than ready to perform above expectations in their current tour of the Laliga.
The striker who has 13 goals in the NPFL received a late call from coach Salisu Yusuf and he expresses his happiness for being part of the team.
“I was very happy when I got the call that I should come and join the NPFL All Stars because I have already made up my mind that it’s time for me to continue and concentrate on my league matches. Glory to God that I still made the trip.”
The former Bukola Babes FC goal machine spoke further on why football management in Nigeria cannot be compared with their European counterparts.
“Well we can’t compare European football with our own, because with the investments and availability of sporting facilities here, you will know that football is a real business, the facility here will make you to enjoy football”
“We have prepared well for this tour and my team mates are in good shape. You know Valencia CF is a big team and they would like to underrate us, but we are ready for any challenge. At the end of the tour, Nigerians will know what we can do. I assure people that we are going to make Nigeria proud.” Bashir submits.
The striker is of the opinion that the League management Company is doing everything possible to improve the local league. He further stressed that the glamour of the tour shall be added to the league in no small measure due to series of programs the contingents have been exposed to.
