Kelechi Iheanacho has been included in Pep Guadiola’s Manchester City squad that will play premier league rivals Arsenal in Gothenburg today.
The 19-year-old was among 23 strong players the Spaniard named in team for his final pre-season game before the start of the 2016/17 season.
Tosin Adarabioyo, another Nigerian youngster also made the trip which includes five strikers, eight midfielders, eight defenders, and two goalkeepers.
Speaking on his sides progress so far in the pre-season,Guardiola told the clubs official website: “I am very pleased with our pre-season and very, very pleased with the behaviour of all of our players.
“With my team we speak and we train, we help each other to see if we can press and build up from the goalkeeper.
“We have to try to help each other and go forward and be aggressive without the ball. I like to see the fight when we don’t have the ball because without that we can’t win anything.
“To know the players, you have to live with them, every day in training. Eat with them and talk to them. I think in terms of spirit and character we will be a real team and that’s what I want.”
