Champions League: Iheanacho Set To Start For Man City Against Steaua Bucuresti

Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to be on the starting lineup as Manchester City host Steaua Bucuresti in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.

Having thrashed Steaua Bucuresti 5-0 in the reverse fixture in Romania last week, City are not under any pressure as they are set to book their place in the money spinning group stages of Europe’s biggest club competition this season.

The Nigerian international was not selected by City coach, Pep Guardiola for the first leg as goals from David Silva, Manuel Nolito and a treble from Sergio Aguero was enough to silent the vociferous home supporters.

With his explore in last weekend’s 4-1 win over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium where he came on from the bench to create an assist for Nolito, Iheanacho could be on the starting line up alongside some of City’s fringe players against Bucuresti.
