The Catalan giants have seen successes in their first two games of the tournament as they beat Celtic by three goals to one and saw of Leicester City 4-2 in Stockholm. Barça will be looking to make it three wins from three as they go head to head with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side who finished in 8th place in the English Premier League last season.
FC Barcelona fans worldwide would be looking forward to seeing the game as the club welcome a host of stars back to their squad. The likes of captain Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique, Douglas Pereira, Gerard Pique, Thomas Vermaelen, new signing Lucas Digne, Ivan Rakitic, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo and Jordi Alba all returned to the team and have been included in Barcelona squad to face Liverpool at Wembley.
Playing against Liverpool is not a new thing for FC Barcelona as both sides have locked horns on six previews occasions with two wins apiece for both sides and two draws. The player to watch is none other than Ballon d’Or holder Lionel Messi who was involved in three of FC Barcelona’s four goals against Leicester City on Wednesday. Another player to watch will be Barça striker Luis Suarez and it will be a special day for the Uruguay international as he will be facing his former club for the first time, where he made 110 league appearances scoring 69 goals over three seasons from 2011 to 2014 before joining Barça. He came close to winning the PL for the team, finishing as top scorer and also won the Capital One cup with the reds.
