Flying Eagles Won’t Take Sudan For Granted – Osimhen

Flying
Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has said that the team would not take the
second leg fixture of the Africa U-20 Nations Cup qualifier against Sudan for
granted at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday, July 24.

The
seven time African champions came from a goal down thanks to Samuel Chukwueze
and Victor Osimhen’s brilliant goals to give Nigeria a huge chance of
qualifying for the tournament slated for Zambia.
Osimhen,
who got the Flying Eagles in front against Burundi in Calabar in the last
round, through a well taken penalty kick, told soccernet.com.ng that the team
would guarantee nothing but the ticket for Nigerians against the Junior
Falcons.
“The
first leg win over Sudan has come and gone as far as I am concern. Playing
against them in Khartoum wasn’t an easy task but I am glad that we are one step
away from qualifying for the Africa U-20 Nations Cup in Zambia,” Osimhen told
soccernet.com.ng.
“Besides,
we are not going to take Sudan for granted in the reverse fixture at the Teslim
Balogun Stadium because the game is yet to be won. Judging by the first leg, I
expect a much tensed match in the second leg, but then, I am confident the team
will overcome them.”
