Daniel thrilled to be selected for Olympics

Super Eagles and Chippa United FC of South Africa goalkeeper, Daniel
Akpeyi has stated that it will be a great privilege to be part of the
team to represent Nigeria at the football event of 2016 Rio Olympics in
Brazil.

Akpeyi is reacting to the proposed Dream Team VI’s provisional list,
having been suggested as one of the over-aged ‎players by Coach Samson
Siasia.

Speaking on his ‘potential’ participation at the Games, Daniel Akpeyi
said: “I must say that the main list is not yet out and only the coach
knows that, but I really appreciate the gesture; and I am honoured to be
selected as one of the over-aged players that the coach thinks can help
the team.”

“It is a great privilege but it doesn’t give me the automatic shirt in the team,” he concluded.
