Barcelona sign Ignacio Abeledo for Barca B

FC Barcelona have completed the signing of young forward Ignacio Abelado for Barça B in a three-year deal that will run until June 30, 2019.
The club announced on their official website that the player who played for Real Betis B this season has passed a medical and will start playing for Gerard Lopez’s men from next season after signing a three-year deal.
Abelado is a 20-year old Andalusian that came through the ranks of Real Betis youth team. He is a left-footer that can play in all positions in attack and will be ready to join Barça B for the pre-season after joining as a free agent. He has also made his official first team debut with Real Betis and has represented Spain in the U17 and U18 international levels. Abelado is delighted to be part of the club and is ready to give is all in helping the team gain promotion to the Segunda Division.
“I am a left-footer, and a very direct player and I can score,” Abelado said after signing his contract.
“My challenge is to help as much as possible to see if we can get promotion to the Segunda Division next season, and also to get some minutes with the first team.”
“I have known Gerard since the time he was here in Huelva. I’ve talked to him and the truth is he’s very close to the players. I want to start already.”
Ignacio Abelado looks eager to start playing for Barça and has already took to Social Media to express his joy with a message reading “A new challenge in my life. An exciting challenge in an exciting club. Thank you FC Barcelona.”
