NPFL: Champions Enyimba now second


Champions Enyimba moved to second position on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) log with a 2-1 victory against Warri Wolves FC at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.
Striker Christian Pyagbara opened scoring for The Peoples’ Elephants in the first minute of the game, while Shedrack Oghu equalized for the Seasiders from Ike ThankGod error in the 39th minute to make it 1-1 at half-time.
Andrew Abalogu made it 2-1 for Enyimba in the 72nd minute by curling home a rebound after Rhiogbere failed to stop Chima Akas’ free kick. Warri Wolves were reduced to 10-men in the 75th minute, when Solomon Okpako was shown a straight red for lashing out at Ikechukwu Ibenegbu.
Apart from moving second on the log, the Paul Aigbogun tutored team also maintain its unbeaten run in last seven games of the current NPFL season.
