The much-awaited friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and their Malian counterparts will kick-off at 7:00pm in Rouen on May 27 according to Nigeria Football Federation officials.
Rouen is a city close to Saint Etienne, which is about 135 kilometres ‎from the French capital of Paris and would be playing hosts to the one of two Super Eagles friendly billed for that period.
Ahead of the Mali game, Nigerian football officials ‎and some players are expected to fly out to France from Abuja on Tuesday (May 24) night with the deadline for invited players at the Novotel Hotel in Rouen fixed for Wednesday, May 25 while the team’s first training session will take place later that night.
The team’s interim head coach Salisu Yusuf had earlier invited 26 players mainly foreign based except Sunshine Stars’ goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa for the two friendly games ‎as part of preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The Super Eagles of Nigeria will depart for the last of the two friendlies in Luxembourg on May 30 after the Mali game.
