Junior: Ikorodu United will beat Plateau

Ikorodu United Midfielder, Junior Merenini has said his side will claim all three points when they face Plateau United on Wednesday for the NPFL Matchday 16 fixture.

The Lagos based side lost 2-1 to hosts Kano Pillars on Sunday after putting up a stern fight. They will be hoping to take out revenge on Plateau United at the Onikan Stadium on Wednesday.

“We are expecting nothing less than a win tomorrow,I believe in my team mates and the coaching staff. We will win and continue our fight to get out of the relegation zone,” Junior told soccernet.com.ng.

“If you take a look at our last game, you’ll see we played very well despite the loss away, with our present form we will beat Plateau United tomorrow, we are aiming for nothing less than 3 points,” he added.

Ikorodu United remain at the bottom of the NPFL table with only nine points from 15 games played. Second from the bottom Giwa FC has 13 points from 15 games too.
