Odion Ighalo loses Father

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo has lost his father Michael Ighalo in the early hours of Monday morning. Ighalo Snr. was said to have been feeling strange under the weather before he finally gave up the ghost.

This was confirmed by the Watford star, who took to Instagram to post a black blank picture with the caption: ‘R.I.P Daddy’. The 26-year-old Nigerian striker was in action for his club, Watford FC  in their FA Cup 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

This is a big blow to Odion Ighalo‎ having enjoyed a fruitful season with 17 goals in 38 games in all competitions. He was recently named in the provisional list to Rio 2016 Olympics for Dream Team VI.
