Nigeria’s Super Eagles are likely to miss the upcoming edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon in 2017, following the team’s loss to Egypt in Alexandria Tuesday evening.
The first leg played in Kaduna, Nigeria, last week ended in a 1-1 draw.
With the Pharaohs’ win through Ramadan Sobhy’s goal, Egypt has gone tops in the group and Nigeria’s chances are slimmer given Chad’s withdrawal from the AFCON qualifiers, leaving Nigeria with two points and Tanzania on one point.
