Flying Eagles star Isaac Success was the star of the show as he helped his lowly La Liga side Granada to a shocking 2-1 home win over Europa League champions Sevilla.
Success broke the deadlock at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes in the 17th minute thereby taking his league tally to four goals. Adelberto Penaranda doubled Granada’s lead eight minutes from the interval before Vitolo pulled one back for Unai Emery’s men.
Granada held out for a famous 2-1 win over Sevilla after they were helped courtesy French defender Adil Rami’s controversial second yellow card four minutes from time as Sevilla were reduced to 10 men. The win takes Granada out of the relegation zone to 17th with 17 points from 18 games while Sevilla dropped to 9th position on the league table.
Isaac Success lasted for 89 minutes to a loud ovation from the fans while another Nigerian, former Enyimba midfielder Uche Agbo, was introduced in the 72nd minute for Granada.
The Flying Eagles star has been influential for Granada on the wings culminating in four goals in addition to 90 attempted dribbles, which is 43 more than any other Granada player.
