The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have released squad numbers of the home-based Super Eagles ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2016) tournament.
The number 10 jersey will be taken by Sunshine Stars of Akure midfielder Paul Onobi who is already establishing himself in the Super Eagles midfield.
The number nine jersey will go to Onobi’s club teammate Tunde Adeniji who is expected to lead the front line while key midfielder Usman Mohammed will wear the number 4.
Captain Chima Akas will wear the number 3 shirt, while the team’s vice- captain, Austin Obaroakpo, will wear the number 5 shirt.
Ifeanyi Matthew will wear wear the number 8 shirt.
Their opening game is against Niger on Monday at the Stade Regional Nyamirambo, Kigali.
