Arsenal make sensational bid for Oshoala

Liverpool Ladies Football Club has confirmed that the former African football queen is set to make the switch to the Gunners.

Asisat Oshoala, who in 2015 won the maiden BBC Women Footballer of the Year award, is set to join Arsenal after her current club confirmed that they have received a bid from Pedro Martínez Losa’s side.
Arsenal have reportedly triggered a clause in the Nigerian international’s contract which the Reds have reluctantly accepted. The striker has now been given permission to discuss personal terms with the former English champions.
The Super Falcons’ forward joined the Reds in January 2015 from Nigeria Women Premier League’s outfit Rivers Angels after she helped the Port Harcourt-based side to a domestic double.
She also helped her country to win the 2014 African Women Championship in Namibia.
The deal is also subject to the 21 year old being granted a work permit ahead of the 2016 season.
