Action returned in Europe once again as Europa League takes center stage with various clubs in action. Nigerian players featured in games across Europe and gave a good account of themselves for their respective European clubs.

GROUPA: CELTIC 1-2 MOLDE
Nigeria center half Efe Ambrose was on the bench for the entire duration of the game as his side Celtic lost 1-2 to the Norwegian giants Molde FK.
GROUP B: RUBIN KAZAN 0-1 LIVERPOOL
Liverpool winger Jordan Ibe scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute as he was assisted by Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino. Ibe lasted the full 90 minutes of the game.
GROUP D: CLUB BRUGGE 1-0 LEGIA WARSZAWA
On-loan defensive midfielder Mikel Agu was again not listed for Club Brugge as they enjoyed a 1-0 win over Legia Warszawa.
SSC NAPOLI 5-0 MIDTJYLLAND
Paul Onuachu was in action for 62 minute and was replaced by Martin Pusic while his Midtjylland teammates like Babajide David and talented Rilwan Hassan was not listed as they were mauled 5-0 by Italian giants Napoli.
GROUP G: DINAMO MINSK 1-2 VILLARREAL
Dinamo Minsk attacking midfielder Chigozie Udoji lasted 78th minutes of the game and was replaced by Artur Yediyargan.The midfielder was booked (Yellow Card) in the 22nd minute of the match as they lost 1-2 at home to Spanish Side Villarreal.
GROUP G: ROSENBORG 0-2 LAZIO
Nigeria midfield player Ogenyi Onazi was in action for 90 minutes and made an assist for Filip Djordjevic’s second goal in the 29thminute to give Lazio a two goal cushion as they won 2-0 on the night.
SAINT ETIENNE 3-0 DNIPRO
Michael Babatunde was not listed in Dnipro match roster as they lost 3-0 to French side Saint-Etienne.
GROUP H: SKENDERBEU 3-0 SPORTING CP
Peter Olayinka lasted the distance for Skenderbeu as they mauled Sporting CP with a convincing 3-0 win.
GROUP I: BELENENSES 0-2 FC BASEL
Anglo-Nigerian defender Manuel Akanji lasted the distance as FC Basel defeated Portuguese side Belenenses 2-0.
GROUP J: QARABAG FK 1-1 AS MONACO
Elderson Echiejile came off the bench in the 78th minutes to replace Lacina Traore as his Club AS Monaco drew 1-1 with Azerbaijan Champions Qarabag FK.
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 2-1 ANDERLECHT
Dele Alli lasted 77th minute of the game and was replaced by Anglo-Nigerian prospect Joshua Onomah for Tottenham.
On the other hand Stefano Chuka Okaka lasted the distance while teammate Imoh Ezekiel came on for Youri Tielemans in the 69th minute. Ezekiel equalized for Anderlecht after he was set up by Steven Defour in the72nd minute in between Harry Kane’s 29th and Moussa Dembele’s 88th minute strike to seal the win for Tottenham Hotspur.
GROUP K: SPARTA PRAGUE 1-1 SCHALKE 04
Kehinde Fatai lasted 88th minutes and was replaced by Tiemoko Konate while Schalke 04’s Dennis Aogo lasted the distance as the game ended one goal apiece (1-1).
