Week nine of the Barclays Premier league returns with some eye catching performance in England.

Nigerian players where in action for their respective Premier league side on Saturday with contrasting feat as some were victorious with their clubs while some tasted defeats and also some draws.
SoccerNet Nigeria takes a look at Nigerian players in the premier league as regards to the match proceedings on Saturday.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 0-0 LIVERPOOL

At White Hart Lane, Liverpool Nigeria target Jordon Ibe was a late cameo as he replaced Brazilian Playmaker Philippe Coutinho in the 87th minute of the game in Jürgen Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds as the game ended goalless.

CRYSTAL PALACE 1-3 WEST HAM UNITED

West ham & Nigerian winger Victor Moses returns to childhood club Crystal Palace as West Ham United claimed a massive 3-1 away win. Moses was on hand to assist Carl Jekinon’s goal in the 22nd minute of the game. He was replaced in 74th minute of the game by Mauro Zarate.

CHELSEA 2-0 ASTON VILLA

John Obi Mikel was on the bench for the entire duration of the game as Diego Costa gave Chelsea the breakthrough to relief the pressure on Charismatic Manager Jose Mourinho.

MANCHESTER CITY 5-1 AFC BOURNEMOUTH

Kelechi Iheanacho replaced hat-trick hero Raheem Sterling in the 78th minute and possibly added little experience and exposure to his game as City destroyed the newly promoted side 5-1 with Ivorian Bony Wilfred grabbing a brace.

WEST BROM WICH ALBION 1-0 SUNDERLAND

The Baggies managed a 1-0 slim victory against Sunderland as they both battled for redemption in the Premier League with Nigerian forward Victor Anichebe left out on the bench for the entire game with Saido Berahino grabbing the match winner in the 54th minute.

WATFORD 0-3 ARSENAL

Arsenal demolished Watford 3-0 away from home with second half goals from in-form Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey in the 62nd,68thand 74th minute of the game respectively with Alex Iwobi not listed in Arsenal’s match day Squad as he may have to wait for another week to make his Premier League debut.
On the other hand, Odion Ighalo could not add to his goal tally as Watford was outplayed in the second period as he chased the ball on to no avail.
