The Argentine star is set to join twitter tomorrow and will most likely break Caitlyn Jenner’s twitter world record for fastest time to reach 1 million followers

Rumours have surfaced that Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi will set up his official twitter account tomorrow, August 20, 2015 which is World Mosquito Day as he supports in the fight against Malaria in developing countries.

In March this year, Lionel Messi reiterated that he will try to set up his official twitter account this year and one of his sponsors, Adidas posted a picture of the star displaying his four Ballon d’Or trophies with the caption “Unfollow Messi? 20.8.2015. Although nothing official has been stated but it is most likely the star will join twitter on that stipulated date, 20-8-2015.

If Messi joins twitter as expected, his account is almost certain to break the world record set by celebrity Caitlyn Jenner as the person with the fastest time to reach One million followers on the Twitter social media platform.

Caitlyn Jenner achieved the feat in just 243 minutes but she is likely to get off the top spot by tomorrow as millions of fans around the world are waiting to follow the greatest footballer of all time on Twitter.

This will come just a day after Messi’s official facebook page reached an incredible 80 million likes and the star is set to carry the number on into twitter.
