Kelechi Iheanacho Finally Makes Official Debut For Manchester City

Aged 18 years, 10 months and 26 days , Nigeria youth international Kelechi Iheanacho has finally made his official debut for Manchester City and it came in their Premier League tie against Watford on Saturday afternoon.
Manchester City maintained their 100 percent start to the new season with their fourth win in a row after defeating the Hornets 2 – 0.
With the points all but secured, Iheanacho was introduced to the proceedings when he replaced Raheem Sterling a minute from time.
The Flying Eagles attacking midfielder has followed in the footsteps of Nedum Onuoha and Kevin Etuhu, who were the last two players of Nigerian descent to play for the Citizens in the Premier League.[post_ad]
Prior to Kelechi Iheanacho stepping out onto the Etihad Stadium turf, the last Nigerian player to represent Manchester City in the Premier League was Nedum Onuoha and it happened back in the 2011 – 2012 season, precisely on January 16, 2012.
