Federation Cup: Teams gear up for final stages



All the 16 teams that will be involved in the quarter -final matches of this year’s men and women Federation Cup competitions are looking forward to next week’s games across the country.
In the women’s competition, Cup holders Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt will take on Kogi Confluence Queens at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, as FC Robo of Lagos tackle Sunshine Queens of Akure at the Oleh Township Stadium.
Neros Stadium in Anambra State will host the tie between Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa and Edo Queens, while Osun Queens challenge Nasarawa Amazons for a place in the semi finals at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
In the men’s event, surprise packets BJ Foundation of Edo State are up against Lobi Stars of Makurdi at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, and the Kwara State Complex, Ilorin will host the all-Premier League clash between Nasarawa United and FC IfeanyiUbah.[post_ad]
Akwa United will confront the other surprise packets, Tornadoes Feeders of Minna at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and Enugu Rangers will light up the FIFA Goal Project, Abuja in the other all-Premier League encounter.
All Federation Cup quarter final matches will come up on Wednesday, 12th August.

Lobi Stars Vs BJ Foundation – Lokoja (3pm)

El-Kanemi Warriors Vs Enugu Rangers – FIFA Goal Project, Abuja (3pm)

Nasarawa United Vs FC IfeanyiUbah – Ilorin (3pm)

Akwa United Vs Tornadoes Feeders – Makurdi (3pm)

WOMEN’S QUARTER FINALS

Rivers Angels Vs Confluence Queens – Enugu (3pm)

Edo Queens Vs Bayelsa Queens – Neros Stadium (3pm)

Osun Queens Vs Nasarawa Amazons – Benin City (3pm)

FC Robo Vs Sunshine Queens – Oleh (3pm)
