Why We Crashed Out Of Federations Cup – Dolphins FC

Premier League club, Dolphins FC of Portharcourt has blamed lack of goals for their exit at the 2015 Federations Cup.
“Players threw away scoring chances. If you don’t score, you don’t win”,media officer to the team, China Acheru told naij.com
“We didn’t crash out early. Bigger clubs like Pillars and Enyimba crashed out in previous round”,he defended the team.[post_ad]
However, the Team was booted out of the competition at the Round 16 by a non-league club, Niger tornadoes feeders team.
Speaking further, Mr Acheru said they have learnt their lessons and already shifted concentrations to the Premier League where they are battling relegation.
“There are always lessons from a loss. Question is, have the coaches learned anything. We still have a relegation dog fight in the league. The next three league matches will answer that question if we learned anything”,he concluded.
Dolphins FC has won the Federation cup four times and also finished second behind Enyimba International at the 2014 federations cup.
