Ideye Scores In Albion’s 2-1 Win Over Charleston



Nigeria international, Brown Ideye scored the winner for West Bromwich Albion in their 2-1 win against United Soccer League(USL) side, Charleston Battery FC in continuation of their pre-season tour of the United States.
Baggies’ top scorer last season, Saido Berahino put his side ahead in the 42nd minute after a clever one-two with Victor Anichebe. Charleston however equalized in the 57th minute through Navion Boyd, before Ideye secured the winner for Albion in the 82nd minute.[post_ad]
Ideye had replaced compatriot, Victor Anichebe at the stroke of halftime in the friendly match West Brom boss, Tony Pulis featured 19 players.
Ideye described the win as a great one for the Baggies.
“Great win against Charleston, good team. Hard work continues,” he wrote on his Twitter handle.
Ideye scored four league goals in his debut season for the West Brom after joining them from Dynamo Kiev.
