The match between Shooting Stars and Warri Wolves was postponed.
Dolphins 2 – 0 Lobi Stars
Two goals in six second half minutes condemned Lobi Stars to their second league defeat of the season as Dolphins claimed all three points in Port Harcourt.
A goal each from Sochuma Elum in the 53rd minute and Zikiye in the 59th minute was all Dolphins needed to establish their superiority in the encounter to earn only their second win of the season.
Nasarawa United 2 – 0 Abia Warriors
Nasarawa United were two goals better than Abia Warriors in Lafia.
Malachy Iloh and Ugochukwu Leonard were the goalscorers in the second half, to help the Lafia-based outfit bounce back from last week’s loss to Kwara United in style.
Heartland 0 – 3 Sunshine Stars
Sunshine Stars continued their impressive form to the season by grabbing a highly unlikely 3-0 win at the Dan Anyiam Stadium against ten-man Heartland.
Tunde Adeniji scored twice for Sunshine Stars, the first a contender for goal of the season, before Heartland captain Nelson Ogbonna was sent off for two bookable offences early in the second half. Prince Aggreh puts the icing on the cake for Sunshine with the third in the closing stages of the match. It was Sunshine’s first away win of the season and the second time Heartland will suffer a home loss.

Giwa FC 3-1 Bayelsa United
Charles Okoro, Edoh Ocheme and Ibrahim Shuaibu got the goals that helped Giwa FC tame Bayelsa Utd in their week 7 tie in Jos.
Tonbara Tiongoli scored the consolation goal for Bayelsa United late in the game but it was not enough from preventing Giwa from claiming top spot back from Heartland who lost big at home to Sunshine Stars in Owerri.
Wikki Tourists 4-2 Rangers
Six first half goals were needed to separate Wikki and Rangers in this thriller in Bauchi.
Rangers finished the match with only 10 men as Etim Matthew was sent off in the second half.
Wikki held on for the win to condemn a reckless Rangers side to 5 losses in only seven games and confirm their defence as the worst in the division.
El-Kanemi 1-0 Akwa United
A headed goal from Sunday Adetunji in the first minute of the match was all El-Kanemi required to disunite Akwa United on Sunday. The win maintained El-Kanemi’s 100% victory record at home so far this season and made sure Akwa United tasted their fourth loss of the season.
Kwara United 1-0 Kano Pillars
Kwara Utd stunned the defending champions Kano Pillars in Ilorin by a 19th minute strike and held on for the win despite the best efforts of the visitors late on. It was only the Afonja Warrior’s third win of the league campaign.
Sharks FC 2-2 FC Taraba
In the early kick-off of the day, Taraba United battled Sharks to a two-all draw in Port Harcourt. Sharks twice took the lead but each time Taraba pegged them back, first with a penalty in the 27th minute and the other after a fine team move with just 18 minutes left on the clock.
Sharks will rue several missed chances that could have helped them to only their second league win of the season but Taraba will be delighted with the draw that halts a run of three straight losses.
Gabros FC 2-0 Enyimba
All the boasts of Coach Kadiri Ikhana of Enyimba amounted to nothing as Gabros FC shocked the former champions by two unreplied goals on Sunday.
Chukwudi Stephen put Gabros in front in the 52nd minute before Okereke Maduabuchi won a late penalty which Chibuzor Okonkwo blasted past Ocheje in goal for Enyimba.
It was only the second loss of the season for the Aba Elephants.
