Hungry For Goals!!! “Feed me, I will score” – Yakubu

One of Nigerias best striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni was in fine form on Friday as he spoke to the media for the first time since his move to English Championship side Reading.

The striker is hoping of extending his scoring record in England after he signed a contract with the Royals.

“I hope they feed me, then I can score,” the Yak told assembled media at Reading’s pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s confrontation with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 32-year-old also added that
“As a striker your job is to score. When you don’t score you don’t do your job.

“I always believe, wherever I play I can score goals. You have to believe in yourself and when you have good teammates it’s great, the teammates here they believe in me and I believe in them too,” he added.

“My first training session was freezing! After two and a half years with no snow it was so cold. But that’s England for you! I’m just happy to be back.

“I was impressed with training, the intensity was very good. I’ve been training hard and have been in pre-season for two weeks – I’m fit, the Championship is physical but I’m ready to go,” he said.

Thanks!!!
