Pedro Is As Important To FC Barcelona As Ever!

Pedro should go! Pedro should be sold!! Pedro is the finished Article!!! These ‘were’ the critical chants made by Barca fans at the start of this season of which i wasn’t excluded. If you notice, i put the word ‘were’ in quote, why? Because Barca fans have all been reorientated by Pedro’s astonishing displays for the Catalan Giants of recent. Silencing his critics, the La Masia graduate has shown so far that he is far from being finished just yet.

With the arrival of Luis Suarez to the Camp Nou during the summer and the manner at which Enrique starts youngster Munir El Haddadi, Pedro’s place in the Barca starting line up was threatened, or rather cut short. However, the 27 year old managed to feature in Enrique’s team for some games and unprecedentally, he performed wonderfully well.

Pedro Astonishing 20 Minutes Performance Against Espanyol

Barcelona had already killed off the Catalan derby, leading 3-1 and controlling the game against Espanyol, then Luis Enrique decided to just introduce Pedro into the game with just 20 minutes left on the clock. Espanyol fans would have been happy that Suarez was taken off but unfortunately for them, Pedro added 2 pinches of salt to their injury, scoring a fine goal and creating another to help Messi complete his hat-trick and sealing a comfortably comprehensive 5-1 victory for the Blaugranas. This indeed was a performance that may just revive Lucho’s confidence in Pedrito.

Pedrito – A Force To Reckon With

Pedro’s goal against Espanyol was 90th for Barcelona in 285 official games. Not a Bad stat at all as he has coupled it with a mouth-watering 40 assists. Indeed, he is a huge contributor to the present Barcelona outstanding legacy.
Moreover, Pedro has 3 goals and 3 assists to his name this season, showing he is still as hungry as ever.
Truely, Pedrito’s ability should never be underestimated. He can score, assist, dribble, use both feet without stress, pass and is very quick and lively when on the field of play. Oh! I remember his goal against Manchester United in the 2011 UEFA Champions League final, it was pure class! Fooling a goal keeper of Van der Sar’s standard isn’t that easy.
