MATCH PREVIEW: FC Barcelona vs Cordoba. Catalans Look To Close Gap On Real Madrid

Barca Look To Close Gap On Real Madrid As They Welcome Cordoba.

FC Barcelona welcome Cordoba to the Camp Nou as the Blaugranas look to close the gap on Liga leaders Real Madrid who will not be in action as they prepare to play the Club World Cup final.

Barcelona head into the game four points behind the La Liga leaders, but are firm favourites to close the gap when they play host to a struggling Cordoba side.
Luis Enrique will have a fresher and more fit squad to pick from after leaving out a number of his key players for the 8-1 thrashing of Huesca in the Copa del Rey in midweek.
Moreover, Enrique is expected to continue with the attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, with the Brazilian forward pushing to be fit after suffering an ankle injury recently, with Enrique suggesting he may start.
“Neymar could play against Cordoba? He has been training with the group, he’s available. We’ll make a decision tomorrow.” The Barca Coach Enthused.
Cordoba have only managed to win one of their previous six games, and they are currently sitting in the relegation zone ahead of their final game before the winter break.
Dani Alves is still struggling to be fit for the host but they have many options with Montoya, Douglas, Adriano and Pedro available.
