Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has dismissed concerns over a potential injury afr playing a key role in his side’s victory against Manchester United, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Super Eagles full-back was instrumental as Forest secured a crucial win over Ruben Amorim’s men, thanks to a first-half goal by former Manchester United forward, Anthony Elanga.
Meanwhile, in the game, the Super Eagles defender was subbed off in the 36th minute of the game and replaced by Alex Moreno, as he could not continue with the game.
Aina, who has been a consistent performer for Forest this season, took to Snapchat after the match, posting a video alongside other teammates dancing and celebrating the hard-fought victory. He captioned it with a simple message: “Job done.”
The win firms Nottingham Forest’s position in the third place of the league standings as they continue their push for a strong finish in the Premier League.
Aina’s presence has been vital in Nuno Espirito Santo’s defensive setup, and the tactician can only hope that his latest injury will not be a thing to worry about.
