Watch: Swedish goalie joins skales’ ‘shake body’ trend after Yamal, Nico Williams

Swedish goalkeeper Simon Gudmundsson has become the latest footballer to join Skales’ viral ‘Shake Body’ trend, Soccernet.ng reports.

This follows in the footsteps of Spanish internationals Lamine Yamal, Samu Aghehowa, and Nico Williams, who recently took the social media space by storm with their dance trend to the Nigerian song.

The trend, inspired by Nigerian artist Skales’s 2015 hit track Shake Body, has been making waves on social media, particularly among footballers.

Recently, Yamal, Williams, and Spanish-Nigerian forward Aghehowa were spotted grooving to the Afrobeat anthem while on international duty for Spain.

Their moves sparked excitement among Nigerian football fans and the entertainment industry. This also strengthens Afrobeat’s global influence.

Now, Gudmundsson has joined the fun, showing off his own version of the dance in a clip circulating online. The Swedish shot-stopper’s participation adds to the growing list of footballers embracing Nigerian music, which continues to gain widespread popularity across Europe.

With more players hopping on the trend, Shake Body seems to be enjoying an unexpected resurgence nearly a decade after its release.
