Watch: How Espirito Santo celebrated FA Cup win vs Ipswich with Ola Aina

Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo could not hide his excitement as he rushed down to celebrate with Super Eagles defender Ola Aina after Forest edged past Ipswich Town in a dramatic FA Cup encounter, Soccernet.ng reports.

On Monday night, Forest secured their place in the quarterfinals after a nerve-racking 5-4 penalty shootout victory at the City Ground, following a 1-1 draw in regulation and extra time.

Goalkeeper Matz Sels emerged as the hero, having made a crucial save to deny Jack Taylor’s penalty and seal the win for Forest.

Ryan Yates had given Forest a lifeline in the game when he connected with Anthony Elanga’s pinpoint cross to head home the equalizer.

The home side thought they had taken the lead minutes later, but Yates’ second goal was ruled out. Callum Hudson-Odoi also came close, rattling the crossbar with a long-range effort late in the game. However, neither side could find a winner, which led to the tense penalty shootout.

The victory sets up a quarterfinal clash against Brighton and Hove Albion as Forest continue their impressive FA Cup run.

Forest, who have been one of the Premier League’s surprise packages this season, will now shift focus to their next challenge against Manchester City at the weekend.
