“If you can score like that” – Cyriel Dessers hits 100 for Rangers, reacts with classy message

Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers marked his 100th appearance for Rangers in style in their 4-3 victory against Dundee FC at Dens Park on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The former US Cremonese forward completed the Rangers’ comeback by netting a dramatic 93rd-minute winner to help the Scottish giants seal a 4-3 victory over Dundee FC.

The Scottish giants were trailing 2-1 at halftime but mounted a stunning comeback in the second half, with goals from James Tavernier, Tom Lawrence, and Dessers.

The Nigeria international pounced on a defensive error from Dundee’s Aaron Donnelly—whose wayward header fell kindly— to poke the ball past the goalkeeper and snatch victory for the visitors.

It was a major milestone for the Nigerian, who scored in his 100th career appearance. Speaking after the game, Dessers reflected on the rollercoaster clash and the emotion of reaching a personal landmark.

“It was very nice to score so late but the 90 minutes before that were not that nice,” Dessers admitted. “At the end, if you can score like that in your 100th game, it is a very nice feeling. It was an unbelievable moment, scoring an injury-time winner.”

Dessers, who joined Rangers from Cremonese in the summer of 2023, has endured a mixed spell at Ibrox but remains a key figure in the squad’s title charge.

His late winner against Dundee secured all three points for Philippe Clement’s men and drew them closer to their fiercest league rivals, Celtic, who currently top the table with 75 points.
